Media ArtsThe Media Arts MFA Program is committed to training its students to be vital contributors to a culture that has an increasing demand for media literate artists, teachers, and collaborators who are engaged and adept across disciplines. The program attracts a diverse group of artists who bring their media skills together to work in a vibrant, interdisciplinary community. Students work closely with professors and peers, who have a wide range of practices including: screenwriting, narrative, documentary and experimental filmmaking, game design, animation, sonic arts, as well as interactive and immersive media installation work. Studio ArtsSVMA strongly believes in a broad and interdisciplinary graduate education which reflects contemporary creative practice. Students are encouraged to explore across media, while diving deeply into ideas and process. They have access to faculty with diverse interests, and broad facilities to discover new and exciting possibilities. These include digital fabrication equipment, kilns, welding, woodshops, digital studios, printing presses, and large installation spaces. Many students also work with Media Arts faculty with specialties in sonic, film, and design. During their studies, students work closely with professors, engage in rich exchange of ideas with fellow classmates, and join a culture of experimentation and innovation. For all degree areas you will need the following materials:
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended (excluding 猎奇重口). Transcripts may also be transmitted electronically through the .
- 3 Professional Letters of Recommendation
- Application fee
- International Students: submit TOEFL, IELTS, or MELAB exam. (Applications must meet minimum 猎奇重口 score). See the International Student Admissions section for more information.

M.F.A. Media Arts Additionally Require:
- Portfolio: We understand that each student will have their unique combination of elements. It is not required to have works in all areas.
- You will be asked to provide: title, dimensions, material, and date for each images/works if they are non-digital, your production role for work if collaborative, and titles of individual works when applicable.
- Written Work - total no more than 10 pages as a PDF
- Photographs and other still images of work (jpeg 800 pixels wide max). No more than 20 images.
- Film and Video - time-based narrative work should contain examples totaling no more than 5 minutes per piece, please include link in application.
- You will be asked to provide: title, dimensions, material, and date for each images/works if they are non-digital, your production role for work if collaborative, and titles of individual works when applicable.
- Statement of Intent
- Approximately 2-page double-spaced document addressing academic goals for graduate study.
- Curriculum Vitae or Resume
- List your artistic journey as well as the other jobs and professional interactions that have made up your work profile to this point.

- Statement of intent. Approx. 2 pages, double-spaced document addressing academic goals for graduate study.
- Artist Statement. Approx. 1 page, double-spaced document addressing the origin and nature of your portfolio work. *Note: please upload to field titled "Essay".
