Geared toward curious and adventurous musicians, Week 2 has the largest enrollment and has the most diverse offerings for those who want to explore different kinds of music. Offering band, jazz, strings, world music and song writing.
Who:
Band Instruments: Entering 7th grade through recent high school graduates
- Baritone/Euphonium, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Clarinet, Flute, French Horn, Oboe, Percussion, Saxophones, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba
If you play a traditional band instrument listed above and also play Drumset, Piano, Guitar or Bass, we'd love to have you play in jazz band.

- Tuesday - Paddleheads Anthem & Pep Band, 7:05 PM, Ogren Field (
- Wednesday - City Band @ Bonner Park, 8:00 PM, (students are just watching)
- Thursday - Small Ensemble Night, 7:00 PM, Music Recital Hall.
- Friday - Final Large Ensemble Concert, 3:30 PM, Music Recital Hall and Dennison Theatre.
Placement Auditions
Woodwinds & Brass:
- Chromatic scale from as low as you can comfortably play to as high as you can comfortably play.
- 2 minutes of a piece of your choice that shows your technique and musicality.
- Sight reading.
