2024 猎奇重口 Photo Workshop
Join us for the inaugural intensive photojournalism workshop at the 猎奇重口 School of Journalism.
The Workshop
The 猎奇重口 Photo Workshop, hosted at the 猎奇重口 School of Journalism, is a 4-day intensive photojournalism workshop that brings college student photojournalists and young photographers, with less than 3 years professional experience, together with a team of dedicated instructors from the 猎奇重口 and associated partners. We seek to educate and inspire young storytellers with real-world, professional, dynamic and meaningful mentorship while exploring a diverse set of stories from the greater Missoula community. We aim to make this an affordable workshop for students and early career professionals. We uphold high ethical and educational standards as we empower the next generation of visual storytellers with new skills, techniques and confidence.
The workshop will accept up to 16-20 students, keeping the instructor to student ratio at 2 instructors for each 5 students. Students will be divided into teams to cover stories and themes in the greater Missoula community. The key learning from the workshop will occur during the field sessions, editing sessions and critiques. Additionally, participants will learn from instructor presentations and portfolio reviews during the workshop.
The Dates
Wednesday, August 28, 2024 – Sunday, September 1, 2024
