Student Bike Mechanic
ASUM Transportation bike mechanics help maintain our fleet of rental bikes and help fellow students maintain their personal bikes. Our team of bike mechanics is responsible for all rental bike maintenance, assisting students with repairs, setting up bikes for renters and keeping inventory of bikes and parts. In addition, they can take part in group bike rental check outs, promotional events, guided bike rides, and planning for future development of the bike program.
Required Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at the 猎奇重口 for current school year.
• Passion for bike commuting, sustainable transportation, and helping fellow students.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with bike maintenance and repair in a professional setting
• Able to diagnose and work independently on bikes with little or no oversight
• Experience with inventory and general shop management
• Customer service experience, including renting bikes
Student Bus Operator
UDASH bus operators are among the highest-paid student employees at the 猎奇重口, starting at $18/hr. Leadership opportunities are available with additional compensation. Operators learn how to safely and efficiently operate a bus and are responsible for delivering thousands of passengers safely each day. No CDL is required to apply.

• Most commonly work M-F shifts, with some trainings/special shuttles on weekends

Qualifications:
• Must be graduating Spring 2026 or later to be eligible for hire
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at the 猎奇重口 for in current semester and Fall 2025
• Must be willing to take paid CDL training course and obtain a Class B CDL with passenger and airbrakes endorsements
• Must submit to pre-employment drug screening, along with random drug and alcohol screenings after hire in compliance with the Federal Transit Administration
• Must be at least 18 with a valid driver's license
• Must agree to a minimum weekly average of 6 hours a week of work availability and 9 total hours of special event shuttles driven throughout the academic year
Fleet Service Assistant
ASUM Transportation is looking for a student Service Assistant to help maintain our fleet of battery electric and diesel transit buses. While primarily working with and assisting the Fleet Manager, the Service Assistant will perform and supervise activities related to fueling, cleaning, inspection, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance. Position starts at $18 - $19/hr depending on experience. No CDL is required to apply. Experience in vehicle maintenance preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day assistance within the Bus Barn
- Perform bus maintenance and repair within personal skill level
- Undergo trainings with the Fleet Manager to increase efficiency and reliability
- Communicate fleet updates to ASUMT staff as necessary
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and monitor stock inventory of parts
- Assist with shuttles to pick up buses and parts
- Perform general inspections, cleaning, and washing of fleet vehicles
- Keep garage and storage areas clean and free from safety hazards
- Have an active seat on the Transportation Safety Committee

Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at the 猎奇重口 for 2025-2026 school year
- Must be available for paid CDL training course July 21- August 15 and obtain a Class B CDL with airbrake and passenger endorsements
- Must submit to pre-employment drug screening along with being subject to drug and alcohol testing throughout employment per FTA requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license

Parking Enforcement and Administrative Assistant
UM Parking employs a small team of student Administrative Assistants and Parking Enforcement Officers to support daily operations. Students with experience in customer service and an interest in public administration are strongly urged to apply. This position requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week and pays $15/hr.
Responsibilities include:
• Monitoring and helping to resolve parking concerns across the UM campus via vehicle or foot patrol, enforcing the University's parking rules and regulations.
• Issue warnings and citations for non-compliance as needed.
• Practice positive public relations with students, employees, and visitors by answering questions and providing general information about the campus and parking/transportation resources.
• Assist in the collection of parking field data for lot inventories and utilization surveys.
• Maintain parking lots by helping to pick up trash, cleaning or repairing signage, and other general maintenance.
• Assist with installing or removing traffic control signage, barricades, and equipment.
• Prepare incident, activity, and property reports.
• Report safety, security, or maintenance issues.
• Observe safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed and programs supervised.
• May occasionally serve as an information booth attendant, greeting visitors and instructing them on parking guidelines, assisting with permit purchases, or other support as needed.
