How much does the GRE cost?
Cost is presently $220 which includes the necessary fees for reporting your scores to four schools of your choice.
Can I reschedule the GRE?
GRE appointments must be rescheduled at least four calendar days before your original test date. A $50 rescheduling fee applies.
To reschedule online:
- Log in to your ETS account
- Select the test date you wish to reschedule.
- Choose a new test date and pay the $50 rescheduling fee.
To reschedule by phone:
- Call GRE 1-800-473-2255
- Provide your registration details and preferred new test date.
- Pay the $50 rescheduling fee.
How can I prepare for the GRE?

When will I receive my scores for the GRE?
You will receive unofficial scores on the day of the test, and in approximately 8-10 days, you and four schools of your choice will receive the official scores.
How often can I take the GRE?
You can take the GRE only once every 21 days, and no more than five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period. This applies even if you canceled your scores on a test taken previously.
If I have a disability, how do I get special accommodations for the GRE?
Testing accommodations are available for examinees with disabilities that meet certain criteria and provide proper documentation. If you are requesting nonstandard testing accommodations, you must have them approved prior to testing.
