Reinstatement from Academic Suspension
Every student who has been placed on academic suspension has the opportunity to apply for academic reinstatement to the 猎奇重口 after sitting out the following semester.
We understand that college can feel overwhelming and that an academic suspension may feel like a dead end, but by developing a well-thought-out plan during your semester away, you can maximize opportunities for academic success when your studies are resumed.

Instructions
Your education is an investment in your future, and it should be approached with the same degree of careful consideration you would give any other long-term investment. Your required semester of non-attendance will give you the opportunity to re-assess your educational goals and your approach to your studies. Please note that summer semester may count as your semester off.
We encourage you to begin working with your academic advisor early. Together, you will discuss your academic difficulties and prepare an academic reinstatement plan that covers both academic and out-of-classroom factors that impacted your prior academic performance. This will serve as an opportunity for you to explore the reasons for struggling in the past and come up with strategies for improvement.
Once you have completed an academic reinstatement plan in consultation with your advisor, it must then be submitted to the dean of your college or an approved dean's designee. From there, it will be sent to the Office of the Registrar for review.
***Please note that an Academic Reinstatement Plan does not reinstate Financial Aid. That is a separate process through the Financial Aid Office (406) 243-5373.***

IMPORTANT: If you have sat out one or more semesters (including summer), then you do not need to submit an appeal. Submit an Academic Reinstatement Plan instead. The appeal is only used for the purpose of waiving the semester of non-attendance.
Students may appeal a suspension in cases where there are compelling and documented circumstances warranting an exception to University policy.
If the appeal is approved by the dean of the student’s college, the student may return to the University without sitting out a semester.
Appeals are considered in cases where the student has otherwise demonstrated an ability to succeed at the university and the compelling circumstances that led to the poor performance have since been resolved.
An appeal of academic suspension will only be granted one time, on the approval of the appropriate dean. See the appeal form below which details eligibility criteria and appropriate procedures.
