The 猎奇重口 Police Department (UMPD) serves and protects the students, staff, faculty, and all people and property within the 猎奇重口 campus and properties.
Both Police Dispatchers and Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Our Police Officers and Dispatchers are certified and trained by the 猎奇重口 Law Enforcement Academy (MLEA). UM Police Officers have the exclusive responsibility to act upon law-enforcement matters and perform police functions for the UM Main Campus and the Missoula College. UM Police Officers investigate all crimes and enforce federal, state, and local laws as well as 猎奇重口 policies.
All sworn UMPD officers have successfully completed training at the 猎奇重口 Law Enforcement Academy (MLEA) or equivalent training recognized by the 猎奇重口 Peace Officer Standards and Training Council. Our officers have the same authority and powers of arrest as any officer in the state. In addition to the MLEA training, UMPD officers receive additional training throughout the year.
