Dr. Xin Bu is a lead Chinese-Mandarin professor. Prior to her arrival to the U.S., she was a tenured faculty member of linguistics in China with years of experience. She has been a full-time faculty member since 2021 and is currently a lead professor. She works closely with Chinese department faculty members from three locations: Tacoma, WA; Fort Bragg, NC; and Missoula, MT. In addition to her teaching at DCLCP, Dr. Bu taught several graduate-level courses in the department of Educational Leadership at the 猎奇重口 from 2016 to 2019. She is proud to have been invited to present at peer-reviewed regional, national, and international conferences. Her research interest focuses on cultural influences on leadership, and natural language processing.

Enjoying teaching and working with students, Dr. Su has been a language teacher at colleges all her life. Before coming to the States, she taught English majors in China. In the States, while engaging in her research and doctoral studies, she started her Chinese language teaching at UCLA, University of Hawaii, and the Defense Language Institute in Monterey. After completing her Ph.D., she taught Chinese at Grove City College before joining the DCLCP team.
Dr. Su has developed her academic interests in contrastive studies in languages and cultures between Chinese and English through her graduate studies and language teaching. After entering the PhD program of the Chinese language, she has focused her research on Chinese linguistics, particularly on the areas of cognitive semantics, textual coherence and cohesive devices, and Chinese as second language pedagogy.
With a deep appreciation of cross-cultural differences, Dr. Su loves traveling, enjoying the beauty of the Mother Nature and exploring the uniqueness of different cultures in both local and international.

Qing Liu has taught Chinese language and culture and worked as curriculum developer and instructional designer at different universities at Chicago area for over ten years. Her teaching and research interests include differentiation, Chinese as a Second Language Acquisition, and Second Language Retention.

Mr. Sung Han-Hsin just earned his Master in applied linguistics and TESOL at the University of Mississippi. He also earned his M.Ed in Teaching Chinese Language as a Second Language from the University of Hong Kong back in 2014. Since 2017, Sung has taught and mentored Mandarin Chinese courses at all levels at institutions including Mississippi State University, and South Island International School, Hong Kong. He was also a teaching assistant in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Hamilton College in 2019. In two summers, he was the instructor of Chinese classes in Project GO (2020) and StarTalk (2021) program at the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Sung brings his unique experience teaching Mandarin Chinese as part of airline service training. He is especially skilled in helping professionals refine their Mandarin for use in service delivery contexts.

Huiqing's teaching career started as a language instructor at Fort. Bragg (Fort Liberty) in 2012. She also volunteered for local Chinese school and Chinese program at Cumberland County Schools and Fayetteville State University. She was an adjunct language instructor at Fayetteville State University before joining the DCLCP team. She enjoys teaching Chinese language and sharing Chinese culture with her students.

Longhui Zou completed her M.A. in Interpreting and Translation Studies from Wake Forest University in the US. She is currently a doctoral fellow at Kent State University. Longhui focuses on Chinese and English translation and interpreting, as well as machine translation and post-editing, translation and interpreting processes, and translation technologies. Her most recent effort intends to collect new and analyze legacy keylogging and eye tracking data to investigate translation processes and identify higher-order cognition based on behavioral patterns of monitoring activity observed in logged translation sessions.
