The Alexander Blewett III School of Law offers a streamlined application process that does not require an LSAT score for qualified undergraduate students at the 猎奇重口. The Expedited Admission Program is subject to annual review by the School of Law, which may alter or eliminate the program without advance notice.
Requirements
- 猎奇重口 Baccalaureate Degree– Candidates must have received a baccalaureate degree from the 猎奇重口 within the academic year immediately prior to matriculation.
- Admissions Test and Class Rank – the student must have scored at or above the 85th percentile nationally on the ACT or SAT and be ranked in the top 10% of their undergraduate class after at least six semesters of academic work.
Paper Application and Supporting Materials – if requirements (1) and (2) above are satisfied, an expedited applicant must complete a paper Expedited Application (download below). The applicant must include all required attachments (including verification of residency and any required character and fitness addendums) or the application may not be considered.

Deadline – The priority deadline for an Expedited Application is March 15. Applications received after March 15 will be considered on a space-available basis. The Expedited Admission Program normally will result in an admission decision within 1 week of the Law School’s receipt of the completed application and all required supporting materials.
General Application – If requirements (1) and (2) above are not met, a candidate must apply under the general application procedure through LSAC.org. Register for LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service (CAS) and follow the instructions for the A1 or A4 Application.

The personal statement should provide information about yourself that you consider significant to our evaluation of your file. We are interested in learning about the qualities that you would bring to the legal profession, the law school classroom, and the community. For example, you may wish to describe service you provided to your community, contributions you made to causes that are important to you, or describe a significant experience in your life. Alternatively, you may wish to discuss your interest in or motivation for attending law school. Your statement will be evaluated for writing ability as well as the content. Do not treat your personal statement as a narrative of your resume.
Your personal statement must be no more than 2-3 pages, double-spaced, with normal margins, and no smaller than a 10-point font.

A reference letter that is particularly helpful is one that discusses the applicant’s:
- Native intelligence (analytical powers, rigor of thought, critical faculty, reasoning ability);
- Independence of thought (originality, imagination, creative intelligence);
- Effectiveness of oral communication;
- Effectiveness of written communication;
- Industry and motivation (persistence, self-discipline, study techniques);
- Judgment and maturity (conscientiousness, common sense); and
- Leadership ability.

You may submit a brief statement of interest explaining why you wish to attend the 猎奇重口 School of Law. This statement is required for out of state students and optional for in-state students.

You have the option of including an additional statement to explain any other factors you wish the admissions committee to consider that relate to your likelihood of success in law school. You may choose to describe economic, cultural, or social factors that have presented obstacles you have had to overcome that you wish the Admissions Committee to consider in evaluating your application.
Addendums should be no longer than 3 pages and should not address topics discussed in your personal statement.
You will be required to include an additional statement to explain any affirmative response to our Character and Fitness questions as they are described in the application. You must provide an explanation for any incident you disclose pertaining to crimes (even if dismissed) workplace discipline, academic discipline, and traffic violations involving alcohol or drugs.
Acceptance
To accept an offer of admission under this program, an admitted applicant must:
- Pay a $500 seat deposit by April 15 or within 14 days of admission, whichever is later.
- Complete the abbreviated Expedited Admission Program Application (A3) with LSAC for the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the 猎奇重口 within 60 days of admission but no later than July 15. There is no application fee for the A3 Application.
- Register for the Credential Assembly Service (“CAS”) through LSAC at www.lsac.org. The CAS report must contain official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended. The CAS fee is not waived.
- It is the student’s responsibility to register for the CAS and ensure that all transcripts and associated fees have been received by the LSAC within 60 days of admission but no later than July 15.
- The School of Law will waive the application fee for students who apply under this option.
Scholarships
All accepted applicants will be considered for available scholarships. While some scholarship awards are granted at the time of acceptance, some are granted after acceptance and occasionally after a deposit has been paid.
