Welcome to Academic Advising in the College of Humanities and Sciences!
As a student in the College of Humanities and Sciences, you have access to professional academic advisors, as well as staff in other offices that can help you navigate college. Whether you need help with general academic advising, deciding on a major, sorting out transfer credit, looking for referrals, choosing classes for next semester, or exploring careers, we have you covered.
You will generally work with your primary academic advisor to make sure you stay on track for graduation and are aware of opportunities for academic, personal, and career development. As a student, it is common to have more than one advisor during your time at UM. It is beneficial to meet with your advisor early and often.
Make the most of your college experience!
