April 11th | Restoring Rock Creek
We're partnering with Five Valleys Land Trust to remove invasive species along the rock creek confluence. In the heart of one of the world’s last intact ecosystems, and just minutes away from Missoula, the cold and clear waters of 猎奇重口’s first blue ribbon trout fishery, Rock Creek, join the Clark Fork River. Five Valleys purchased the property in 2012, and began restoring the property and developing publicly accessible trails to the creek, river and forests.
When: Friday, April 11th | 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Where: Rock Creek Confluence in Clinton, MT (We'll carpool from campus at noon!)
April 19th | Clark Fork River Annual Cleanup!
Spend your morning caring for the Clark Fork River and celebrate at noon with a free BBQ lunch at Caras Park! The Clark Fork River Cleanup is an annual tradition when the community comes together to clean trash along the riverbanks before spring runoff and high water carry thousands of pounds of urban trash and debris downstream.
When: Saturday, April 19th | 9:30 am - 1:00 pm (Lunch Provided!)
Where: Clark Fork River (exact location TBD)
April 26th | Grow Gardens for Franklin Elementary!
Franklin's School Garden is growing! Come get your hands dirty with our friends at Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) and Garden City Harvest to expand Franklin Elementary's School Garden. The Farm to School Program creates school gardens to use as outdoor classrooms, cultivating food and learning across Missoula! And if all that food talk has made you hungry, you're in luck: This Service Saturday comes with free lunch for all volunteers!
When: Saturday, April 26th | 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Where: Franklin Elementary, 1910 S 11th St W
