The Indigenous First Year Experience is for first-time freshman who identify as Native American Indian/Alaska Native and are enrolled in the 猎奇重口 in the Fall 2011 semester.
The main focuses of this program are to support first year Indigenous students to successfully transition to the 猎奇重口 (UM)by:
- Immersing them with cultural enrichment and student-focused activities as part of the Native Griz family
- Fostering their relationships with critical points of contact for student and academic support on campus
- Year-long of experiences and activities that help them connect to what Missoula has to offer
- Engaging in a cohort with other first-time American Indian/Alaska Native freshman through a seminar course and a diversity of experiences/activities designed to help support students’ navigation through their first year of college
