Personal Summary
Dr. Khaled Huthaily is Associate Professor of Arabic and Linguistics at the 猎奇重口, Missoula, MT, USA. He is a Fulbright scholar and native speaker of Arabic, holding an Ed.D. in curriculum and instruction (with a focus on second language curriculum development and instruction), an M.A. in applied linguistics (with a focus on Arabic-English contrastive linguistics), and a B.A. in education, majoring in English and second language teaching.
At the local level, Dr. Huthaily also serves as an Arabic language consultant for the local Missoula County Public Schools in their Arabic language high school programs. At the national level, he serves as an Arabic language consultant for the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). He has also served as a foreign language evaluator in STARTALK summer programs for the National Foreign Language Center (NFLC).
Dr. Huthaily has presented at a number of local and national conferences, universities, and meetings in the areas of English-Arabic contrastive linguistics, second language curriculum development, and the use of technology in the classroom.

STARTALK is one of the component programs of the National Security Language Initiative (NSLI) announced by President Bush in 2006. The initiative seeks to expand and improve the teaching and learning of strategically important world languages that are not now widely taught in the US. My roles include visiting STARTALK summer teacher and student programs to evaluate them and provide suggestions for program improvement.
