Personal Summary

Janet Finn holds an MSW from Eastern Washington University and a Ph. D. in social work and anthropology from the University of Michigan. She has authored and edited numerous books and articles about community, women, childhood, youth, social justice, and transnational issues including  Just Practice: A Social Justice Approach to Social Work (2016); Gender Oppression and Globalization: Challenges for Social Work (2013); Mining Childhood: Growing Up in Butte, 1900-1960 (2012); Childhood, Youth, and Social Work in Transformation (2009); La Victoria: Rescatando su Historia (2007); Motherlode: Legacies of Women’s Lives and Labors in Butte, �����ؿ� (2005); Tracing the Veins: Of Copper, Culture, and Community from Butte to Chuquicamata (1998), and a special issue of Children and Youth Services Review entitled, “Place, Power, and Possibility: Rethinking Social Work with Children and Youth” (2013).
