Personal Summary
Hi! My name is Caitlin and I am a student in the school psychology Ph.D program. I was born and raised in Kalispell, MT and went to school for my Bachelor's at Colgate University where I studied psychology. I moved to NYC after graduating and worked as an elementary school teacher and nanny with a focus on special education. Through my work, I developed an interest and passion for supporting students' mental health and emotional well-being, particularly those students with academic or behavorial disorders. My research interests include crisis intervention and prevention, trauma-informed education, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds. I am a member of Dr. Jacqueline Brown's GRAY Lab (Grief & Resilience Among Youth). My research focus is on Adverse Childhood Experiences and subjective versus objective experiences of trauma.
