Brass
The Brass Program at The 猎奇重口 is a premier comprehensive program where players learn excellence through private instruction and outstanding performance opportunities. Students have the opportunity to perform in several outstanding ensembles including: the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Concert Band, Grizzly Marching Band, Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, three Jazz Bands, several Jazz Combos, Missoula Symphony Orchestra, and chamber groups including the Celebration Brass Quintet. Each year the UM Brass Department hosts nationally and internationally renowned clinicians and performers from around the world.

Personal Summary
Dr. Brendan McGlynn is currently adjunct professor of trumpet at the 猎奇重口. He currently serves as principal trumpet of the Missoula Symphony and plays lead trumpet in the Ed Norton Big Band. Prior to teaching at UM, Dr. McGlynn previously taught at the University of Hawaii-Hilo and the University of Nebraska. He has performed in a number of wide-ranging ensembles, from summer theater performances to the Honolulu Symphony. Dr. McGlynn has kept a private trumpet studio for the past twenty-three years. His former students have gone on to many successful colleges and universities and have gone on to have successful careers beyond college. His primary teachers were Dr. Steve Bolstad and Dr. Darryl White.
