Personal Summary
Dylan never graduated high school. Instead, when his school in California refused to accept the credits from a Swedish high school he attended for the first semester of his junior year, he took the California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE) to begin attending MiraCosta Community College at the age of sixteen. Following three years of surveying topics and majors ranging from theoretical physics and business administration to audio engineering and songwriting, he unenrolled and moved to Mammoth Lakes, CA, where he spent two and a half years exploring the land and his life in the Eastern Sierras. Dylan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.S. in Chemical Biology and minor in History, but before returning to classes, he spent about a year in New Zealand living out of a converted mini(camper)van adventuring throughout the country with his surfboard and guitar. Dylan also worked as a Pathways Legal Assistant Intern at the Social Security Administration’s Office of Hearings Operations (OHO) in Oakland, CA, from commencement until his move to Missoula on August 16th, 2023. Moving in support of his partner’s career in biology, Dylan found work through AmeriCorps at 猎奇重口 Legal Services Association's Missoula office where he conducted intake, worked reception, and coordinated the Western 猎奇重口 Bar Association’s (WMBA) Pro Bono program at the Blewett School of Law until joining the Mansfield Center in February, 2024.
