Personal Summary
Sarah is passionate about the power of storytelling and communication, and strives to incorporate key tenants of dialogue and intentional connection into her marketing and communication work. She has pursued her interest in communication and advocacy most recently while working in the nonprofit sector. She also worked as the lead investigative reporter on an Emmy-award winning documentary, "Eyes Above: Militarization of Sacred Land".
Sarah's educational background is a unique fit for the Manfield Center. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pacific Lutheran University, earning degrees in Strategic Communication and Global Studies, with an emphasis on transnationalism and dialogue studies. Driven by her interest in dialogue as a tool for peace building and civic engagement, she studied with dialogue practitioners in Derry, Northern Ireland, and later at the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue in Lillehammer, Norway. She was also selected to attend the International Summer School in Oslo, Norway, as a member of the United States’ Peace Scholars Cohort. In her free time, she likes to ski, bike, and spend time with her family.
