Daryl Baldwin Nominated to the National Council on the Humanities by President Joe Biden
Daryl Baldwin, a recipient of the 2019 UM Distinguished Alumni Award has been nominated by President Joe Biden to the National Council on the Humanities. Baldwin is the executive director of at the Miami University in Ohio and an adjunct assistant professor in educational leadership. He serves as co-director of the . Baldwin earned a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and an M.A. in Linguistics from UM. He is also a 2016 recipient of the MacArthur “Genius” Fellow and is an established leader in Indigenous language and cultural revitalization. The , a board of 26 distinguished private citizens appointed by the president and confirmed by the U.S. Senate, advises the National Endowment for the Humanities.
