Join us for a Service Sunday: Conserving Pattee Canyon

If you're passionate about wildlife conservation and want to spend a beautiful day outdoors making a positive impact, mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5th! The 猎奇重口 is partnering with Five Valleys Land Trust (FVLT) for an exciting Service Saturday: Conserving Pattee Canyon event, where volunteers will work together to remove old fencing and help create open wildlife corridors.
Wildlife corridors are essential pathways that allow animals to safely move across the landscape, find food, and access breeding grounds. Unfortunately, aging fences can block these critical routes, preventing animals from migrating freely. By removing these barriers in Pattee Canyon, we'll be directly contributing to the health of the local ecosystem and making the area more accessible for wildlife.
We’ll be working at the Erickson Conservation Easement, a protected area in Pattee Canyon, where old fencing needs to be removed. Volunteers will join forces with FVLT staff and the landowner to take down the outdated barriers, opening up space for animals to roam freely. Whether you're a seasoned conservationist or just looking for a way to give back to nature, all are welcome to lend a hand!
By participating in this fence removal project, you’re helping to preserve the natural beauty and wildlife diversity of the Missoula area. It’s a great opportunity to get outside, meet like-minded individuals, and make a tangible impact on conservation efforts. Plus, you’ll leave knowing you’ve contributed to a healthier, more sustainable environment for future generations.
Don’t miss this chance to give back to your community while helping wildlife thrive in Pattee Canyon. We hope to see you there!
